A friend from the stove and lamp club was lucky enough to buy two Optimus No.510 stoves, both NOS (new old stock). However, one of them came without a windshield, so he asked me to help find a suitable copper pipe as a replacement. This way, he can finally “activate” one of his NOS stoves. Unfortunately, large-sized copper pipes are now rare and hard to find in the correct size, so I had to manually make the windshield. If anyone can find a copper pipe of this size, please let me know to save us the trouble of making it by hand.
The handmade windshield needs an outer diameter smaller than 41mm, an inner diameter larger than 38mm, and a height of 41mm. Due to the handmade nature, the appearance may be slightly uneven, with overlapping welds. It is not made from seamless pipe but should still be usable. If this is an issue, please refrain from purchasing.
Fits stoves with an outer diameter of approximately 41mm, inner diameter of 38mm, and height of 41mm.
